THE MARK

The collections are created with a passion for leather and craftsmanship. Each design is tailored to meet the needs of different creative types. Minimalist shapes and timeless silhouettes are used, which are combined with the highest quality of leather. THE DESIGNER

The name M(+)PLUS DESIGN is made up of the initials of the designer Melanie Meyer - M + M and stands for combinability, a positive attitude to life and the love of fashion and accessories. When it comes to her leather bags, she pays particular attention to simple functionality and timeless design.

THE DESIGNER - THE FACE BEHIND THE BRAND

Behind the women-run company MPLUS DESIGN is Melanie Meyer, a passionate designer who creates unique bags and accessories made of high-quality leather. In 2019, she decided to start her own brand, saying goodbye to the fast fashion industry, where she worked as a visual merchandiser and stylist for over 20 years. Her goal was to make a difference in the fashion industry and offer sustainable products.

THE MANUFACTURE

Our need is to act responsibly - both towards people and our environment. With this awareness, it was very important to us to choose a manufacturer in the EU that shares these values. In Braga, a small Portuguese town, we found an artisan factory that works ecologically and responsibly. All materials are manufactured and brought together in the EU. We regularly see for ourselves the quality and manufacturing processes during our visits to the production facilities. It is produced in small quantities under fair conditions in order to offer a fair price and remain sustainable.

Melanie works closely with small manufacturers in the EU to develop their various products. Her passion for the natural product leather and the countless ways to work with it led her to design her first MPLUS collection in her studio in Berlin, where some products are still personally made by hand by her.
